As Vice President, Mike Smith leads a team of top quality in-house building industry professionals. From land acquisition, zoning, engineering, design, land planning and community liaison efforts, Mike’s broad experience base and his ability to execute a carefully crafted vision mean involvement in every facet of the development and building process. “You could sum it up by saying that I am committed to relationship building,” says Mike.
In 1998 as Warren Jolly became more focused on in-town development, Mike worked to secure property assemblages for the company. Cooperating with county officials and community associations for property zoning allowed him to forge many solid relationships. “Our philosophy of business is that when we make a commitment, we fulfill it.”
Mike’s development team mirrors his management philosophy and one that is common throughout The Providence Group organization. Each member of the team takes pride in the contributions they make. As Mike puts it, “Developers take huge risks. We don’t take these risks solely for purpose of financial gain. It is an opportunity to have a positive impact on the community. We feel good about what we do.”
Mike came to Jolly Development with 15 years of sales, marketing and business development experience and has been with The Providence Group development team for the last 16 years.
