The recent changes announced included the redistricting of Jamestown in Alpharetta to the Big Creek Elementary School from the previous school, Midway Elementary due to overcrowding.
Big Creek Elementary School is located at 1994 Peachtree Parkway and serves grades Pre-K through 5th grade. The redistricting will take affect for the 2013-2014 school year. In recent years the school has been the recipient of many awards including two Georgia School of Excellence Awards, five Georgia Platinum Awards, Georgia Gold Award and two recognitions of being a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Students living in Jamestown will also attend Piney Grove Middle and South Forsyth High.
