Pet Friendly Spaces in New Atlanta Homes

June 4th, 2018

If you have been by The Providence Group’s model home at Chelsea Walk, you have probably seen the dog shower specially designed for our favorite furry friends! Dog showers and mudrooms are great structural and/or built-in options that allow us to build pet-friendly spaces.

After a rainy-day walk or just a little exercise outside chasing chipmunks or playing fetch, my dog always manages to turn his freshly cleaned coat into a muddy mess. Wouldn’t it be convenient to be able to rinse them off in their own mini-shower afterward instead of having to use your own? Another convenience would be to have their own towel hanging up on a hook right next to where you would place their leash to easily wipe their paws or dry them off. Built-ins would also be a suitable place to store pet food, wipes and treats.

These are just a few of the options available for selection at The Providence Group’s state-of-the-art Design Studio. An additional option is pet-friendly flooring, such as hardwood floors. As pet owners ourselves, The Providence Group’s design team always recommends selecting a harder, more durable wood, such as hickory, or laminate depending on the price point or personal preference.

The Providence Group also offers an upgraded “Pet Proof” carpet pad; this pad has a protective sealant over the pad. The sealant keeps anything that spills on the carpet, bubbled up on the surface, preventing it from seeping into the pad and creating odors.

The Providence Group encourages you to continually Make Space For Life, for you and every person and pet in your family! Learn more about the Design Studio by clicking here.
