New Year, New Progress Surrounding North Point Revitalization in Alpharetta

January 8th, 2021

The North Point revitalization effort is bringing exciting new destinations, alternative transportation, pedestrian access and living options to the thriving Alpharetta area. As the city and North Fulton continue to grow, so do opportunities for homebuyers to Make Space for Life in a new home that puts them in the center of it all from The Providence Group.

The City of Alpharetta is an ideal live-work-play destination for several reasons including top-rated schools, a brilliant workforce and exceptional quality of life. According to a recent Atlanta Business Chronicle article, Alpharetta boasts a daytime population of more than 122,000 with 4,632 workers per square mile, a ratio that exceeds metro areas such as Denver, Houston, Charlotte, Nashville, Austin and even Atlanta.

As the largest property within the North Point Parkway Pedestrian Corridor Enhancements Project, updates to North Point Mall include new mixed-use housing, dining options and open community space, according to a recent What Now Atlanta article. The new North Point Eco District and Point Park will sit adjacent to the property as a 14-acre recessed open space park and stormwater detention space.

Several new hotel accommodations are also planned for the area including The Hamilton, a Curio Collection by Hilton, scheduled to open spring 2021 in Alpharetta’s Historic District and Hilton Alpharetta Atlanta – Windward Park slated to open this February. The Hamilton will feature Roaring Social, a 9,000-square-foot entertainment venue with a 1920s-themed speakeasy and eight lanes of “boutique bowling,” live music and specialty cocktails while Hilton Alpharetta Atlanta will feature 6,000 square feet of meeting space, a roof terrace and lounge and 249 rooms and suites.

Another unique destination for the area is The Maxwell, a mixed-use development featuring 26,000 square feet of retail and dining options, as well as 8,500 square feet of office space. Standout attractions include Ponko Chicken, Rena’s Italian Fishery & Grill and Fairway Social, a golf and entertainment concept slated to open this March. Additionally, The Maxwell features residential townhome and condominium living options from The Providence Group.

Priced from the $369,900s, the community’s urban, mercantile-inspired architecture and quiet streets create an authentic city center that invites residents to walk to downtown Alpharetta. Convenience is right at residents’ doorsteps and the Alpha Loop Trail, currently under construction, will offer further exploration to Main Street, Avalon and Ameris Bank Amphitheater.

Additionally, development is underway at Ecco Park, the first residential component of the North Point revitalization effort. Featuring 99 townhomes from the low $400,000s across roughly 10 acres, Ecco Park is set in a fantastic location with impressive, planned amenities including walking trails with dog stations and access to three parks. Townhomes will boast eco-friendly designs with two-to-three bedrooms and one- to two-car garages. Upon completion, the North Point revitalization project is sure to serve as a destination for living, working and entertainment for Alpharetta residents and beyond.
