TPG: The Maxwell, the Future of AlpharettaBeautiful residential and commercial space combine to create the latest Downtown Alpharetta development, The Maxwell. In the latest vlog from The Providence Group, Susie Proffitt with Atlanta’s Best New Homes Show talks to Jason Joseph of Mayfair Street Partners to discuss details of the fantastic future development coming soon to Alpharetta.

The genesis of The Providence Group, The Maxwell is led by Warren Jolly who contracted a 15.5-acre site right in the heart of downtown Alpharetta. Located at the corner of Main Street and Devore, The Maxwell offers a 10.5-acre component of residential space and a 5.5-acre component of commercial space.

“Warren selected us to come in and actually vision-cast a 5.5-acre development that would create something that was complimentary of what was going on in downtown Alpharetta,” Joseph said.

To complement the history of Downtown Alpharetta and its master development plan, The Maxwell will include over 40,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space featuring mercantile, industrial architecture. Construction is currently underway on the commercial side and all of the infrastructure is laid out on the residential side by The Providence Group. Mayfair Partners plans to deliver the commercial building in April of next year with tenants opening around 45 to 60 days thereafter.

The retail destinations within The Maxwell will be dependent on the needs of Downtown Alpharetta’s booming “live, work, play” community and growing foodie scene. Residents and community members can also enjoy Downtown Alpharetta’s easy connectivity to The Maxwell and other future Alpharetta attractions through The Alpha Loop. Once completed, this series of multi-use trails will allow for open container walking and alternative transportation to Alpharetta’s favorite destinations.

In addition to The Maxwell, a new boutique hotel will also be making its way to Downtown Alpharetta. Set on the corner of Milton Avenue and Main Street, The Cotton House will feature a 119-key boutique hotel that will be complemented with approximately 16,000 feet of retail, restaurants and more. Similar to The Maxwell, Mayfair Street Partners has placed special care in making sure the new development complements the city’s history.

“It’s been named The Cotton House for the fact that it was actually the very first cotton gin on this property and serviced all of the cotton owners around,” Joseph said. “We’re trying to keep to the history of Alpharetta with the support of the city and it’s been great.”

Adjacent to the public spaces and walking distance from The Cotton House, The Providence Group’s newest Alpharetta community, The Maxwell, will feature a collection of condominiums, townhomes and single-family homes that offer an urban, mercantile feel within a vibrant city center setting. Condominium pricing is anticipated from the mid-$300,000s, townhomes from the $500,000s and single-family pricing from the $700,000s.

Townhomes and condominiums are now selling. The Maxwell Sales Center is located at 94 Academy Street in Alpharetta at East of Main.
