poznyakov © 123rfWe have not one, not two, but three new home communities nestled within walking distance of Downtown Alpharetta, with even more all around the city! We chose these locations because they give you easy access to the best of the city, whether you walk, bike, or drive a short distance to get there.

Along with a wide selection of shops and restaurants, The City of Alpharetta has a full calendar of fun events - and this October there’s plenty for you to see and do all month long! Local businesses and cultural organizations work with the city to put on one-of-a-kind events all year, and fall is the start of an exciting season for local activities. Music festivals, local art, and rich local culture are just the beginning - and don’t forget about Halloween! Here are some fantastic Alpharetta events coming up in October near neighborhoods from The Providence Group.

October 8-9, 2021 - Wire and Wood Music Festival

Also known as the Alpharetta Songwriters Festival, this free two-day music fest brings together local and nationally-known artists for a celebration of song! Country, rock, blues, Americana, and bluegrass are the genres you’ll hear from 30+ artists across 6 stages, featuring headliners like Ruthie Foster and Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors. The festivities take place from 5-11PM on Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th in Alpharetta City Center just walking distance from our downtown Alpharetta communities - take a look at the Wood and Wire Fest site here for directions.

October 23, 2021 - Slice of Life Exhibit Reception

At the Alpharetta Arts Center Gallery, a fresh look at the mundane and the everyday is sure to bring you a new perspective. The reception for the Arts Center’s next exhibition, Slice of Life, will be an artistic celebration of the extraordinary in the ordinary starting at 6:00 PM on October 23rd. The exhibit itself will be on display for several weeks, and the arts center has a wide variety of events for artists of all ages and in all mediums to attend. Discover the Arts Center’s classes, camps, workshops and more on their website here.
