Of all the double entendre options in speech, “So Far” would be our favorite when discussing The Providence Group’s efforts with our St. Jude Dream Home giveaway. It tells us where we are, “So Far” - and it tells us about our journey in which we’ve come “So Far”. For over 3 decades Dr. Mack’s visionary program to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has touched more lives than just those that participated in the raffle itself. Millions in research funds have been raised, impacting families with children fighting rare cancers and blood disorders with few other treatment options. The Providence Group could not feel more elevated to be building the first home for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in the Atlanta area.

Checking in with Metro Atlanta CEO, part of the Georgia CEO Network, the 2023 Atlanta St. Jude Dream Home in Buford Georgia construction status is on target! Principle framing has completed, trusses were put in place, and now we have windows, doors, a roof, and the makings of a quality home for the Dream Home Giveaway. This 4 bedroom home in Buford Georgia is located in the Millcroft neighborhood, just around the corner from Sugar Hill. Atlanta News First (ANF) is also covering the progress and participating in partnership with the St Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Atlanta. They note that more than $600 million has been raised since 1991 through the raffle! Thanks to these generous donors, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food.

Although the groundbreaking for this home took place back in November of 2022, the planning and staging of this effort began quite some time ago. The neighborhood selection, the Kincaid plan the home is based on, the lot selection, and the crews selected for each stage of the build are all coming together to provide the highest quality home and reward to those that participate in this raffle. A total of 15,000 tickets at $100 each will be sold for a chance to win this home. Tickets are scheduled to be available starting May 11, 2023, with the final raffle happening August 3rd of 2023. While one lucky winner will see the reality of moving into their St. Jude Dream Home, the results will turn dreams of cures into a reality for children and their families all around the world.
