Susie Profitt with Atlanta’s Best New Homes TV typically covers the best in Atlanta real estate, but what would a new home be without an exciting locale to feature as well? First up on exploring the Best in Atlanta is the Atlanta BeltLine!
The Atlanta BeltLine project is a planned loop of 22 miles that will encircle the intown area of Atlanta, connecting 45 neighborhoods. Most interesting is the fact that the Atlanta BeltLine follows the abandoned historic rail paths that used to wrap around the city.
Once completed, the Atlanta BeltLine will include 33 miles of trails for walking, running, biking, skating and boarding, 22 miles of streetcar lines and about 2,000 acres of parks. The BeltLine is being completed and opened in phases with expected completion in 2030 and several areas and trails already open, allowing Atlantans to get outside, explore and have fun.
In addition to a fun way to explore Atlanta, the Atlanta BeltLine also offers a variety of interesting stops along the way. Susie stopped in at Parish, a local brasserie and cafe located right on the BeltLine in Inman Park! Set in a restored, historical terminal building from 1890, Parish offers its patrons “inspired, familiar American food, inventive beverages and warm hospitality.”
This is just one example of the many locally owned businesses set along the Atlanta BeltLine. Visit www.BeltLine.org to learn more and find your closest access point!
