The Providence Group has built homes in Metro Atlanta for more than 20 years. Pete and Warren Jolly founded the company on one belief: thoughtful neighborhood design shapes daily life more than most builders account for.
Every Providence Group home is overseen by a dedicated Project Manager from groundbreak through closing. Every home also carries a 1/2/8-year 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty covering workmanship, major systems, and structural elements.
This resource explains the Jolly family's founding story, the process that The Providence Group uses to keep quality consistent across communities, and what happens if an issue comes up after closing.

The Jolly Family Founding Story of The Providence Group
Pete and Warren Jolly founded The Providence Group (TPG) more than 20 years ago in Atlanta. They built the company around one belief: the placement of a front porch, the walkability of a street, and the shade of a tree canopy shape everyday life more than a floor plan alone. That belief still guides every TPG community today.
The Providence Group is now a Green Brick Partners company (NYSE: GRBK), pairing Atlanta-focused construction with the financial backing of a publicly traded builder.
The Jolly family's original standard has earned The Providence Group more than 70 OBIE Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association since 2012, covering community design, model merchandising, and sales excellence.
“We care about how we impact our community, and we leave places better than we found them.” – Warren Jolly
How The Providence Group Keeps Quality Consistent Across Communities
Every home The Providence Group builds is assigned one Project Manager who oversees that home from groundbreak through closing, regardless of community. Third-party inspections happen at defined stages of construction, not just at the end.
The same quality construction standards apply to every TPG home: duct blast and air leakage testing, 15 SEER HVAC systems, Low-E glass windows, house wrap systems, and ENERGY STAR® rated appliances.

Subcontractor variance is a real risk with any builder that uses outside trade partners. The Project Manager role and the inspection checkpoints exist specifically to catch that variance before a homeowner sees it.
- Project Manager oversight: the same named role, on every home, in every community
- Third-party inspections: during the “Appliances & Specialties” stage of the home building process, homebuyers will schedule their third-party inspection prior to the Home Orientation & Walk Through
- Uniform building standards: duct blast and air leakage testing, 15 SEER HVAC, Low-E glass, house wrap systems, ENERGY STAR® appliances on every home
Every Providence Group home meets the same energy and construction requirements, with no exceptions by community.
The 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, Explained
Every Providence Group home includes a 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty with three coverage periods: workmanship is covered for 1 year, major systems for 2 years, and structural elements for 8 years.
If an issue comes up after closing, a documented process determines who a homeowner contacts and how quickly The Providence Group responds. That process exists so a homeowner never has to guess what happens next.
| Coverage Period | What's Covered |
| 1 year | Workmanship |
| 2 years | Distribution Systems (Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC) |
| 8 years | Load-Bearing Structural Elements |
Beginning on day one of homeownership, home warranty systems, inquiries, and questions can be submitted through our warranty portal.
The Providence Group Warranty Team promptly acknowledges and responds within two business days of submission.
The Providence Group's support extends beyond the home itself into financing guidance, reflecting a broader dedication to elevating your home buying experience.

Once you take ownership of your new home, you can submit any warranty requests, service concerns, or homeowner questions through The Providence Group's warranty portal.
After we receive your submission, our Warranty Team will review and acknowledge your request within two business days. A dedicated TPG Warranty Project Manager will then be assigned to your case and will contact you to discuss next steps and coordinate any necessary follow-up.
Is quality consistent across different Providence Group communities?
Yes. Every Providence Group home is built under the same Project Manager oversight and the same inspection checkpoints, using the same construction and energy specifications, regardless of community.
How long does it take for a warranty issue to get resolved?
Resolution times vary based on the nature and complexity of the warranty request. Most standard, non-urgent concerns are typically completed within 10 to 15 business days, and often sooner.
For urgent situations, such as a complete loss of heating, active plumbing leaks, loss of electrical service to the kitchen, or HVAC system failures, The Providence Group provides homeowners with emergency contact information for the appropriate trade partner during the first and second years of warranty coverage. These emergency issues receive immediate attention to help restore functionality as quickly as possible.
Who inspects a Providence Group home during construction?
A Providence Group home is inspected by multiple parties throughout construction to help ensure quality, safety, and compliance with building codes. These inspections include ongoing oversight from the home's Project Manager, along with inspections performed by municipal building officials and specialty third-party inspectors at key construction milestones.
Internal Oversight: Project Manager
The Project Manager oversees the home throughout the entire construction process, monitoring progress, coordinating trades, and conducting quality checks at every stage of the build. While municipal and specialty inspectors review specific components for code compliance, the Project Manager provides continuous supervision from construction start through final completion.
Municipal and Third-Party Inspections by Stage
- Stage 1: Construction Start: Temporary Power Pole Inspection
- Stage 2: Foundation
- Plumbing inspection
- Electrical inspection
- Stage 3: Framing: Municipal framing inspection
- Stage 4: Mechanicals
- Plumbing inspection
- Gas line inspection
- Electrical wiring inspection
- Energy inspection
- Electrical rough inspection
- Pre-drywall inspection
- Stage 5: Drywall
- Insulation inspection

- Stage 6: Flatwork & Cabinets: Flatwork inspection
- Stage 10: Completion: Final inspection for the Certificate of Occupancy (CO)
Each inspection focuses on different aspects of the home's construction. Municipal inspectors verify compliance with local building codes, while specialty inspections evaluate systems such as plumbing, electrical, gas, energy efficiency, and insulation. Together with the Project Manager's ongoing oversight, these inspections help ensure the home meets The Providence Group's quality standards before homeowners move in.
