The Best Places to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Atlanta, GA

March 16th, 2023

One of our favorite days is almost upon us and we want to provide you with some history of this wonderful day, along with the best places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to the recent U.S. Census’ American Community Survey, more Georgians claimed Irish bloodlines than any other European ancestry. That makes sense when you look at Georgia history. After James Oglethorpe arrived on the shores of Savannah, several ships filled with Irish settlers followed in the 1730s. These settlers were largely farmers looking for a promising new life in America. Georgia suited those hard-working Irishmen and by the 1800s, their labor dug canals and built railways that would connect communities throughout the region. St. Patrick was the patron saint of the Irish people, so it’s fitting that he is celebrated on his day throughout the U.S. and, especially, here in Georgia. The Providence Group is a Georgia-grown business founded on the legacy of laying a strong base of community in every neighborhood we build. In that spirit, we want to join you in shining a light on the best places to celebrate St. Patrick near your home.
