Johns Creek Continues to Standout as Top Place to LiveJust 25 minutes northeast of Atlanta, Johns Creek offers a thriving and diverse community. In the latest vlog from The Providence Group, Susie Proffitt with Atlanta’s Best explores Johns Creek and explains why this city is in such high demand.

Founded in 1981 by three Georgia Tech graduates, Johns Creek originally started out as high-tech office park. This mixed-use, master-planned community known as Technology Park/Johns Creek was the first reference to Johns Creek as a place, putting the area on the map. As more people moved into the area for work, a community of homes and shopping centers built up around it to create the lively suburb it is today.

While Johns Creek currently stands as the ninth-largest city in the state, it also happens to be one of the youngest. Despite its youth, the city has been gaining national attention and recognition for its family-friendly community. In 2017, USA Today named Johns Creek No. 3 out of the top 50 places to live, and the National Council for Home Safety and Security has ranked Johns Creek as the No. 1 safest city and No. 1 best place to raise a family.

Part of what makes Johns Creek a top place to live and such a great place to raise a family is its incredibly ranked schools like Rivertrail Middle School and Northview High School. Recognized by News Week Magazine as the No. 1 high school in Georgia, parents love the academic excellence that Northview offers with its above-average key measures in college and career readiness as well as its 97% graduation rate.

As people continue to move to Johns Creek for its top-rated schools, large employment center and overall safety that make it a top place to live, more beautiful home communities are being built throughout the area. The Providence Group is proud to currently offer two new home communities in Johns Creek: Brookmere at Johns Creek, now selling its final phase of townhomes and single-family plans, and master-planned community Bellmoore Park.
