All across America, the Thanksgiving 10K is as essential as gravy and mashed potatoes. That’s not a bad way to carb-load before the Gobble Wobble in Alpharetta, by the way, which starts as early as 7:15 AM in the Halcyon shopping and dining development for participants in the 10k race. Three races mean there’s a little something for everyone here - a 1K fun run lets the kids have a blast before the long wait for Thanksgiving dinner (and dessert), and a 5K and 10K offer options for runners of all endurance levels. Their Rockefeller-inspired rink is open on Thanksgiving day from 10AM-10PM - so you can come skate before or after your feast. About a 30-minute drive south from Alpharetta into Buckhead, the Atlanta Christkindl Market brings an old-world German Christmas market to you right here in Georgia.
