Alpharetta Labor Day Weekend Events
For the adults, there’s a well-kept secret in Alpharetta that you might have passed a dozen times without ever seeing it. With all the secrecy and flair of a real-life speakeasy, Roaring Social is Alpharetta’s secret hideaway for entertainment, drinks, and an unbelievable good time. Labor Day weekend is looking to be an exceptional time to experience this singular speakeasy, as they’re celebrating their 1-year anniversary on Saturday, September 3. Get gussied up in your very best 1920’s attire, and head over to RoSo Clothiers to start searching for the secret password and the door into the speakeasy!
For families with kids, there’s a family-friendly excursion to go enjoy that Saturday too - and you’ll walk away with fun memories and a yummy treat or two. On the Alpharetta Town Green in front of City Hall, the Alpharetta Farmers Market sets up shop from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, from April 2 to November 26. Now it’s easy to think “farmers market” means “fruits, veggies, and not much else” - but this market is completely different. Think of it like a weekly expo of all the very best locally-made goods the area has to offer. You can find soaps, candles, coffee, beef, baked goods, and yes - lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Wake up early and surprise the kids with a locally-grown homemade breakfast, or take them along to pick out a treat of their own from one of the dozens of stalls!
If you don’t already own a luxurious home in Alpharetta, these two events will be the perfect excuse to come and see some new homes here for yourself! We have five unique neighborhoods for you to visit in Alpharetta - find the one that’s right for your family here.
Labor Day Weekend Activities in Suwanee
Suwanee has a little something for everyone - and for the grown-ups that includes a fantastic brewery right off of Suwanee Town Center! Stillfire Brewing doesn’t do mediocre - they’re the beer for people who know great beer. They will be open on Labor Day, but if you want a little extra entertainment, stop by on Saturday, September 3 for some live music from Layne Denton and Smokestack Lightning! If you do visit on Labor Day, be aware that they won’t have a food truck - so why not plan a picnic in the park for a great way to end a fantastic holiday?
And, for families with kids, look forward to an exciting double-feature event on Friday, September 2! Nearby Duluth will be hosting Food Truck Friday and Flicks on the Bricks on the town green downtown. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory starts at 8 p.m. for Flicks on the Bricks, and food trucks with a variety of delicious choices will be waiting for you from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Come early and enjoy some live music with your food truck adventure, and discover what else there is to explore in downtown Duluth.
We have three Suwanee neighborhoods, and a number of others all throughout Gwinnett near Suwanee and Duluth. Take a look here on our Gwinnett County community page to see which neighborhoods you might like to come see in the area!
